T-minus three weeks until the primary election and counties across the Commonwealth are preparing the polls and mail ballots. Meanwhile, a statewide push is on to get more people registered.
“It’s pretty much business as usual in getting ready for the election just like any other,” said Greg Monskie, York County COO.
Historically, a municipal primary brings little to no attention leading to low voter turnout. To date, York County has received 20,661 requests for mail ballots with 17,009 on the way to voters. That nearly 21,000 mail ballot requests is a far cry from the 65,000 applications sent out in total.
