Why Courts Matter – Pennsylvania and New Pennsylvania Project to Hold a Virtual Town Hall on How the Courts Affect Our Rights and Freedoms
Pennsylvania is one of only seven states in the entire country that votes for judges and justices in partisan elections.
Considering a more civically engaged electorate is more likely to turn out to vote in PA’s 2025 judicial elections, Why Courts Matter – Pennsylvania, and New Pennsylvania Project (NPP), are hosting: “Why Courts Matter 401, a Virtual Townhall.”
Event Details:
- Date: Thursday, March 27th, 2025
- Time: 6:30 – 7:30 PM PM (via Zoom)
- Speaker: Kadida Kenner, Founding CEO, NPP and Co-chair of Why Courts Matter – PA
This the fourth town hall in a series of four. It will continue to focus on the impact and importance of federal and state courts.
This year voters in Pennsylvania have the power to elect judges in partisan elections, and to choose to keep or remove justices for the bench in nonpartisan judicial retention elections. This includes three PA Supreme Court seats, one on the Commonwealth Court and one on the Superior Court.
