Posted on July 31, 2025 by Kelly Zimmerman

New Pennsylvania Project to host a Bucks County Office Opening

Office Opening in Bensalem, Bucks County, PA

Event Details:

When: Thursday, July 31st, 5:00 – 7pm

Where: 1950 Street Rd., Suite 318 Bensalem, PA 19020

Confirmed Attendees:

  • State Representative Jim Prokopiak (D-140th District)

  • Lloyd Morgan Chief of Staff of State Representative Tim Brennan (D-29th District), and

  • Founding CEO of the New Pennsylvania Project, Kadida Kenner

This event will celebrate the opening of our eighth office statewide. This event will also provide an opportunity for supporters and local community members to connect and recommit to investing in year-round voter registration, engagement, civic education, and mobilization across the Commonwealth, especially in Bucks County.

According to the America Votes voter file and U.S. census data (CVAP), as of 2024, in Bucks County, 35.8% of Black, Indigenous, and other communities of color are not registered to vote compared to 4.6% of their white counterparts. This 31.2 gap is higher than the statewide 18 point gap.

This gap highlights a critical issue we face when looking to deepen our democracy and a problem the New Pennsylvania Project is actively working to solve.

This in-person gathering will include light refreshments and a chance to hear from NPP staff about how they plan to bring change to about lasting change.

#

The New Pennsylvania Project (NPP) is a voting rights organization with a year-round primary focus on voter registration, civic education and mobilization. NPP centers historically disenfranchised and often neglected Black, Indigenous and other people of color, immigrant communities, and the youth in our work. Through civic engagement, we ensure all eligible voters feel compelled to exercise their freedom to vote in the Commonwealth.
